Punjab Approves 6 New Highway Projects: Sharnjit Dhillon

The Punjab government today approved six new Highway Projects in the state which would be completed with the investment of Rs. 955.89 crore. It was disclosed by PWD Minister Punjab Mr. Sharnjit Singh Dhillon. He said that on the constructions of 66 KM long Kapurthla-Nakodar-Phillor Highway (Rs. 138.99 crore), 54 KM long Manpur Head-1 to Jagroan- Raikot Highway (Rs. 194.74 crore), for 48 KM long Manpur Head-2 to Barnala-Raikot Highway (Rs. 155.15 crore), for 49 KM long Ndampur- Lehra Highway (Rs. 163.71 crore), for 73 KM long Tanda-Sri Hargobindpur- Sri Amritsar Highway (Rs. 158.30 crore) and for the Highway of 42 KM length from Riaya (Rs. 145 crore) has been approved by the Punjab government. He said that the work on these projects have already been started. Mr. Dhillon further said that work for the four lining of 56 km Ropar-Chamkor Sahib-Neilon-Doraha Highway, 30 km long Morinda-Kurali-Siswan-Baddi Highway, 30 km long Kotakpura-Sri Muktsar Sahib and 36 km long Batala-Mehta-Beas would be commenced on April 2013 and would be completed till December 2013.
