Minister for Health and Medical Education Mr Bali Bhagat informed the house that the selection for BSc Nursing Course is done through written test, while the candidates for paramedical training courses are nominated as per norms. He said the candidates for FMPHW, Medical Assistant, Lab Assistant, Dental Assistant, X-Ray Assistant, Ophthalmic Assistant, Anesthesia, ECG Tech, GNM and Sanitary Inspector streams are nominated as per the guidelines issued by the Government from time to time.Replying to a question by Jugal Kishore Sharma in the upper house, the Minister elaborated that there is no provision to nominate the candidates for BSc Nursing course and the selection is being done through a competitive examination and there was no involvement of the Government in the selection process.The Minister also informed that the nominations for paramedical courses for the current year have not been issued by the department till date. Legislator Surinder Kumar Choudhary raised supplementary question to the main question. He called for adopting nomination system for BSc Nursing Course.
