Addressing a rally at Talab Khatyan Jammu on Friday, AIP president and MLA Langate, Er. Rasheed sought strong action against Kuthwa administration for failing to protect the life and property of Muslim community. Er. Rasheed also reiterated his demand to hold plebiscite on both sides of LOC and said that we don’t seek so on communal lines but want promise made by Indian and Pakistan with people of J&K at United Nations to be fulfilled.In his speech Er. Rasheed while appealing for communal harmony said “We offer sincere cooperation to people of Jammu province for maintaining communal harmony and finding an everlasting solution to political dispute. If the issue is resolved the people of state will prosper and it would be in the long interests of people of India and Pakistan as well. Let all of us understand the urgency of resolving dispute and force India and Pakistan to hold plebiscite on both sides of LOC, as we can’t compromise on our huge sacrifices offered for resolution of dispute”.
Er. Rasheed appealed regional political parties not to become stooges of New Delhi. He lashed out at Govt. for not disbanding so called village Defence Committees and sought a credible probe to the atrocities committed by these so called VDC’s. He accused police and civil administration of depriving and harassing Muslims from Kishtawar to Rajouri.Er. Rasheed appealed Jammu Administration not to harass and humiliate the religious clerks, social activists and respectable citizens belonging to Muslim community in Jammu region and warned of dire consequences if the practice is not stopped.Addressing the gathering prominent social activist Hilal Ahmad Beigh appealed administration to protect rights of Jammu Muslims.
