District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal, Tariq Hussain, chaired District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting here today. On the occasion, Lead Bank District Manager gave a brief about achievements of banks operating in the district under District Credit Plan 2016-17.The meeting was told that banks in the district have disbursed a total amount of Rs 84.53 crore for establishment of 3676 units at the end of the second quarter of the current fiscal thereby registering 15 percent achievement. Out of the total amount about Rs 33.64 crore have been disbursed for establishment of 1715 units under priority sector and Rs 50.89 crore for establishment of 1961units under non- priority sector. It was said that CD ratio of the district stands at 68percent.Speaking at the occasion, the DDC stressed upon both bank officials as well as sponsoring agencies to play their role help in eradicating unemployment in the district through achievement of set targets under various sectors for setting up of income generating units.He also asked the financial institutions to sanction/disburse cases strictly as per guide lines and in close coordination with sponsoring agencies.CPO, Director RSETI Ganderbal, Cluster Head Ganderbal, District Officers and Coordinators of banks attended the meeting.
