Shemrock School Sector -69 kicked off Two days Athletic Meet at Sports Complex Sector -46 .Milkha Singh’s wife Mrs Nirmal was Chief Guest at the moment .The event started with the March Past by the school students led by the School Prefect and their respective House Captains. The students marched proudly with military precision and perfect synchronization in their house colours to the tune of the Police Band. The athletes then took an oath, pledging to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship within them.The sports events kicked off with various events lined up with various races like frog race, Duck walk, elephant race, back race& horizon, Zumba, A walk in the cloud, & Razzle Dazzle activities for both boys and girls. Healthy sportsmanship, sheer grit and unlimited zeal marked the atmosphere. Audience had a gala time enjoying the Athletic meet. Students displayed their strength and stamina on the ground. The school playground came alive with the electrifying performance put up by the students.While encouraging the students Chief Guest Mrs Nirmal said that every student must inculcate in himself the virtue of a true sports person, who does not see the contestants running along but instead concentrates on the finishing line.While motivating the students A.S. Bajwa, chairman, Shemrock School said that winning is not everything, but participation and will to win is everything. He urged students to learn important lesson from the experience to make the best of what life offered to them.
