District Development Commissioner Kathua Ramesh Kumar today reviewed physical and financial achievements under district annual plan 2016-17 and the status of implementation of various decisions taken in the last DDB meeting.During the meeting, financial and physical achievements under core sectors including R&B, PHE, PDD, Education, Horticulture, Agriculture, Sericulture, Sheep husbandry, Animal Husbandry, Youth Services & Sports, Rural Development, Handicraft ,Handloom, Health, Social Welfare, Forest were reviewed.Besides reviewing physical and financial achievements of various departments, the DDC gave necessary directions to engineers of executing agencies. He asked them to put in their best efforts to achieve the set targets well in time. He directed them to update the record of the targets achieved under every flagship schemes and programmes for the year 2016-17.It was informed in the meeting that out of approved outlay of Rs 1147.33 lac under capital component of regular schemes in the Capex budget, 34.12% have been expended so far, whereas Rs 2203.10 lac approved outlay under Loans, Rs 1163.66 lacs were made available out of which Rs 429.26 lac has also been expended achieving 36.88% expenditure.It was informed that of Rs 11672.75 lac Central share , Rs 2075.66 lac was provided and Rs 1619.39 was expended achieving 78.01% expenditure.
The approved outlay of Rs 1124.74 lacs under State share for CSS, Rs 72.50 lac was made available against which 27.45% expenditure was recorded till the end of September 2016.The DC also reviewed the decision taken in the DDB meeting. He asked the concerned departments to exhibit the entire work completed under different schemes and programmes through photographs. He also called for timely submission of data related to targets achieved so that it can be reflected in DDB review meeting.The DDC also exhorted upon the officers to prioritize the works earmarked for hilly and snowbound areas especially under convergence plan of MGNREGA so that congenial time can be used for development activities. He also directed the officers of School Education, Soil Conservation, Forest, Youth and Sports to submit their respective plan to ACD Kathua to be taken up under convergence where activities like school boundary walls, play grounds, plantation, roads etc can be taken extensively across the district to foster the development pace.PO ICDS Rajinder Singh, CPO Kathua Ram Rattan, ACD Kathua Dr Sunil Shrma, CEO Kathua, other district officers of line and works departments attended the meeting.
