Punjab government's Technical Education and Industrial Training Board chairman and Shiromani Akali Dal (Kisan Wing) President Mr Sewa Singh Sekhwan has stated that Aam Aadmi Party president Mr Arvind Kejriwal is misguiding the people over giving facilities to the farmers, whereas the truth is that whatever promises he has made in his farmer's manifesto, the Punjab government has already implemented them, such as interest free loan and medical insurance under Bhagat Puran Singh Sehat Bima Yojana.While holding a meeting with farmers at Old Grain Market in Samrala and at Gurudwara Sahib Bija, Mr Sekhwan has appealed to the farmers that they should avail full benefits of Bhagat Puran Singh Sehat Bima Yojana, Bhai Ghanaiya Sehat Yojana and interest free loan. At Samrala, the meeting was organised by Ex MLA Mr Jagjiwan Singh Khirnia and at Bija by Ex MLA Mr Ranjit Singh Talwandi.
While addressing the farmers, Mr Sekhwan said that under the health insurance schemes, the farmers can avail free health treatment and interest free loan is given up to Rs 50,000. He said that Mr Kejriwal is indulging in mere drama for his vested interest and cheap political gains. He said that all Punjabis know the real face of Kejriwal when he backstabbed them over the SYL issue. He said that ever since SAD-BJP formed government in the state, the farmers are getting free electricity for which the government pays up to Rs 6000 crore annually.
Sewa Singh Sekhwan said that the Kisan Wing of Shiromani Akali Dal would play an important role for the party's victory in the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections for the third consecutive time.Mr Jagjiwanpal Singh Khirnia and Mr Ranjit Singh Talwandi stated that Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal has always worked for the betterment of the farmers because he himself is a farmer and understands their problems best as compared to all other leaders.
