Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik on Thursday said that a nation that has lost 80 of its beloved son’s during the span of only 60 days, whose ten thousand people got injured by bullets, shells and pellets and whose more than 600 have been hit in their eyes cannot celebrate the holy festival of Eid Ul Azha but with utmost austerity and simplicity. In a statement issued to KNS, appealing people of Jammu Kashmir to show magnanimity, humility and humanity, Yasin Malik said that during last more than 60 days curfew and other restrictions have shattered our daily life and today when Eid ul Azha marking the occasion of ultimate sacrifice for truth is approaching we all through our deeds should prove that ours is a living nation that cares for its downtrodden, affected people and needy people.Yasin Malik said that Hajj and sacrifice (Qurbani) are Islamic religious traditions (Signs) which in no circumstances can be avoided or disregarded but today when we are preparing for Eid and Qurbani we all will have to show our collective responsibility towards those who have been most affected during last 60 days, whose kith and kin sacrificed their lives, who got injured and whose lives have been shattered by Indian bullets.

He said that instead of sacrificing multiple animals on individual levels as has been our previous routine, this year we can sacrifice only one animal for each family and help the affected and needy people in our surroundings with the saved money. He said Hajj teaches us discipline, devotion, caring for others and unity and today in the hardest days of our lives, the nation of Kashmir needs to engross all these worthy teachings and lessons and maintain modesty, harmony, unity, humility and simplicity while observing the sacred occasion of Eid.Also JKLF vice chairman advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt today addressed a mammoth gathering at Nasrullahpora Budgam while as JKLF zonal president Bashir Kashmiri and others attended a Jalsa at Palpora Noorbagh. These public Jalsas were organized under the banner of united resistance leadership and people in large numbers attended these peaceful Jalsas. While addressing the Nasrulalhpora Jalsa, advocate Butt sahib said that Kashmiris are sacrificing and striving for their freedom and history of the world bears a witness to the fact that it is the oppressed nations like Kashmiris, who taste the last triumph. Butt sahib said that despite huge sacrifices rendered by the people of Jammu Kashmir and a people’s revolution here, Indian leadership and their stooges in Jammu Kashmir are busy with their state of denial and delusion but their denial cannot change the truth and reality.

While appealing people especially the youth to remain steadfast and disciplined, Butt sahib said that we are fighting for a just cause and God-forbid if we also act like tyrants and oppressors, our just cause will be contaminated and ruined. He said that our resistance is for the welfare of people and during last 60 days this nation collectively has rendered valuable sacrifices and it is our moral duty and responsibility to ensure the safety of every human being. He said that there are complaints about some miscreants indulging in harming common people in the name of resistance. Many are complaining that even during the relaxation hours some miscreants are creating problems for common people and trying to disturb the program of resistance leadership. Butt said that we all should remain vigilant of all these elements who are trying to give a bad name to the resistance movement and clean our ranks and files from these black sheep. In his address at Palpora Noorbagh, JKLF leader Bashir Kashmiri paid rich tributes to martyrs and said that their sacrifices will never go in vain. Meanwhile Veteran social and religious leader Abdul Ahad Butt who was the brother in law of Shaheed Ghulam Nabi Butt (brother of Shaheed Muhammad Maqbool Butt) breathed his last yesterday. JKLF leader Zahoor Ahmad Butt along with others attended his funeral prayers. JKLF expresses condolences to the bereaved family and we pray to Allah almighty to bestow the departed soul with Jannah and provide patience to his bereaved family. (KNS)
