The Engineering students of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri got rewarded for the hard work got selected in top ranking companies of India before passing out. Cognizant selected 17 students, Capgemini 10 and John Deere selected another 10 students of this institute. The selected students are offered pay packages of up to Rs. 4 lakh per annum. These students will be taking up their respective assignments as soon as their results are declared by PTU. Students owe their success to the excellent teaching.
Explaining the policy of CGC, Jhanjeri regarding placements of its students, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal President CGC said that after the students take admission in this college, they are asked about what they intend to do after completing their respective courses. Those who want to go in for jobs are given an extensive training involving aptitude test, Group Discussion, Soft Skill Training & Technical & HR Interviews.
Others who opt for starting their own enterprises are given complete knowhow under Entrepreneur Development program. The students interested in pursuing higher studies or appearing in some competitive exam like IAS, IES, GATE etc. are given necessary training required for the same. Dr. G.D. Bansal, Director General said that the selection of students in top ranking companies of India have proved quality education of CGC Jhanjeri.
