Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Capt Amarinder Singh today warned the Akalis, particularly the Revenue Minister Bikram Majithia against using arm-twisting tactics against the Congressmen and forcing them to join his party.  He said, if they (the Akalis) think they can weaken the Congress this way they are miserably mistaken.Capt Amarinder also reiterated his warning to the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal not to take it for granted that he is there for five years. “It does not take much time for the circumstances to change”, he told Mr Badal, while adding, the way his ministers are forced to resign for various criminal offences it will not be surprising if this government comes to an abrupt end.Addressing an impressive rally organised for the former Kilaraipur MLA and in-charge of the Dakha assembly segment Jassi Khangura here today, the PCC President lashed out at the government for its failure to deliver on even one promise it had made before the elections.Reiterating that the Akalis were using the arm-twisting tactics to make the Congressmen joint the Akali Dal, he said, it was matter of time only when the tide will turn against the Akalis themselves and people will teach them a lesson for their betrayal.Condemning the confusing stand taken by the Akali leadership with the senior Badal opposing the FDI in retail while Sukhbir first supporting it and then opposing it, Capt Amarinder said, Badal had opposed the move just to oblige his alliance partner the BJP. He pointed out, even Badal himself had told reporters that he did not care whether opposing the FDI was in favour of or against Punjab, but he had to go along with the BJP on the issue.Ridiculing the Badals for grabbing all the plum ministries of the government, the PCC President revealed that of the 50 ministerial portfolios 29 were with the members of the Badal family including Parkash Singh Badal, Sukhbir Badal, Adesh Partap Singh Kairon, Bikram Majithia and Janmeja Singh Sekhon. He said, most of the money making ministries like the excise and taxation they had kept with themselves only while other Akali jathedars were feeling ignored and let down.Speaking on the occasion, Leader of the Opposition in Punjab assembly Sunil Jakhar said that the rate at which the ministers were going out, it won’t take much time for this government to fall. He pointed out three ministers had already gone while a few more were in the queue. He said, people were upset over reelecting this government which has failed them so soon.Addressing the rally Congress Spokesperson and Ludhiana MP Manish Tewari asked the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and the Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal to clarify about their stand on the FDI in retail. He said, it was important since it concerned the future and well being of the state.Prominent among those present on the occasion included SS Libra, Kewal Dhillon, who was coordinator for the rally, Gurkirat Kotli, Gurcharan Singh Boparai, Mohammad Sadiq, Bibi Harchand Kaur, Jassi Khangura, Surjit Dhiman, Isher Singh Meharban, Vikram Chaudhary, Major Amardeep, Sonu Dhesi, Jagdeep Sidhu, Pawan Dewan,Bhupinder Sidhu, Jagpal Singh Khangura, Gurdeep Singh Bhaini and others.
