Minister of State for Health & Medical Education, Asiea Naqash last evening conducted surprise visit to District Hospital Budgam.Deputy Commissioner Budgam Mir Altaf and other health officials accompanied the Minister.Taking serious note of the absent doctors and paramedical staff, defunct digital X-ray units & other testing facilities and poor sanitation the Minister warned the hospital administration to perform their duty with dedication.During her surprise visit, Asiea directed the administration to ensure attendance of medicos and paramedics in the hospital as per duty roaster and provide round the clock healthcare facilities to patients. She also inspected wards and interacted with patients and inquired the facilities being provided in the hospital. She stressed on cleanliness of the wards and corridors besides maintaining proper sanitation of the hospital.She further said that the Government is taking healthcare as top priority and the main aim is to provide hassle-free treatment facilities to the patients in the Government health institutions.
