The Punjab Public Relations Department should ensure percolation of information pertaining to government projects and policies at grass root level so that maximum people should avail the benefit of the schemes, said Dr. Senu Duggal, Director Public Relations Department Punjab during a high-level meeting held today at the Punjab Bhawan, Chandigarh.Reviewing the working of field and head quarter officials, Dr. Duggal said that the success of Public Relations Department lies in ensuring that maximum people should come to know of the pro-people initiatives taken by the government coupled with empowering people to avail the benefits of various schemes. She said that in addition to this, proper and genuine feedback on various initiatives should also be brought into the notice of the concerned department so that if any changes need to be incorporated, that may be done in time.
Appreciating the work done by various field and headquarter level officers, Director Public Relations Department said that in order to maintain the momentum of work, the infrastructure would be strengthened and the vacant posts would be filled soon. She informed that the requisition of work force for over a hundred vacancies in the department has been sent to the Staff Selection Board.She gave a patient hearing to the administrative matters and district level issues and resolved many of them on the spot along with assuring early redressal of the others. Besides others, Mr. Opinder Singh Lamba, Mr. Surinder Malik (both Jt. Directors), Mr. K.L Rattu, Mr. Harjit Singh Grewal, Mr. Ajit Kanwal, Mr. Randeep Ahluwalia (all Deputy Directors) and all the PROs and APROs of the department participated in the meeting.
