Minister for CA&PD, Ch   Zulfkar Ali today conducted extensive tour of the far flung areas of Darhal constituency along with senior officers and took the stock of the problems being faced by the public.The Minister held public grievances redressal camps at Daleri, Gunda, Khawas, Gadyog and Bai Nambal areas of Kotranka, where public highlighted various issues pertaining to electricity, education, health, water, foodgrains and roads.The Minister was accompanied by Director CA&PD, GS Chib, Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri Shabir Batt along with all district and sectoral officers.Speaking on the occasion, Ch Zulfkar Ali instructed the district administration to formulate a duty roaster and depute 'empowered' nodal officers from different departments on rotational basis to the far flung areas like Khawas, Peeri etc for monitoring the working of departments. He said the nodal officer shall also be made duty bound to prepare a factual report of the ground situation and submit the same to the higher authorities so that immediate and necessary interventions are carried. The Minister said that remote and far flung areas remain neglected due to geographical reasons and these areas need our special attention.

He said development of rural belts of the state shall continue to remain a top priority for the Government and administration must focus attention towards these areas.

Expressing anguish over the grim situation in the education sector in Khawas area, where 160 posts of teacher are vacant, Ch Zulfkar Ali instructed education authorities to fill all the vacant posts of teachers in Khawas area and ensure that it receives priority. He said that a policy should be adopted by the department for deputing young teachers for one year in areas like Khawas. He instructed Chief Education Officer to make a list of young teachers for deputing them in these areas.CA&PD Minister also spoke about the recently launched ‘Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Food Entitlement Scheme’ and said that the scheme shall supplement the NFSA in Jammu and Kashmir and to a large extent address issues related to adequate allocation of food grains to rationees.Zulfkar said that former Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed had already committed to make necessary arrangements to supplement the NFSA so that rationees are provided adequate quantity of food grains.

He said the new scheme will augment NFSA and benefit the consumers who shall now receive 10 kg ration per soul on highly subsidised rates. He however, added that there is need to rectify error in the consumer data lists and he has already instructed cross checking all lists for effective implementation of the Food Scheme. He said that after proper fidelity check of lists, CA&PD department shall start giving ration to public under the new schemes from July 1st 2016.Congratulating the people of Khawas on the release of Rs 76 crore funds for the Kotranka Khawas Road, Zulfkar said that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed had promised the people of Khawas to give them better road and it has been fulfilled. He added that the road work shall be taken up under Centre Reserve Funds and people will start getting benefit from it in the near future. The Minister also instructed the concerned agency to submit a proposal for taking up Keri Bela Road.The Minister on the occasion instructed PHE department to mitigate potable water problem in Daleri, Gadyog, Khawas, Nakka Gujjaran, Darian, Panda Chika Khet and Jigga Khet.He also instructed Deputy Commissioner to redress all the genuine problems raised by the people in the area.  He also instructed the concerned executing agency to complete the construction of school buildings in Khawas within a period of 3 months.
