‘Orphans in Need’ a non-governmental organization Tuesday distributed ‘monthly food parcels among widows and orphans at Chanapora in the outskirts of Srinagar city. The food parcels were distributed by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Asghar Samoon while SSP Traffic Srinagar city Maqsood-ul-Zaman was also present on the occasion.Divisional Commissioner Kashmir on this occasion urged upon people to help the orphans, widows and needy. He said that it is the prime responsibility and duty of well-to-do-people to take care of downtrodden lot.‘Orphans in Need’ Manager Operations Umar Mukhtar Wani said that the NGO will begin distributing 10,000 of its food packs to widows throughout the month of March, with a target to deliver over 20,000 food packs by the month of Ramadan.(CNS)
