In view of rain forecast by the Meteorological Department, the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar convened a meeting today in his office chambers and reviewed preparedness of departments to meet any eventuality including dewatering of waterlogged areas.Among others, senior officers from Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Mechanical Engineering Department, Public Works Department UEED, Fire and Emergency Services attended in the meeting.The meeting was informed that the concerned departments have made all arrangements and are ready to meet any eventuality in case of heavy rain fall. The concerned functionaries informed have kept standby men and machinery for dewatering to drain out water from inundated areas if any.The Deputy Commissioner directed all the Departments to ensure timely dewatering in the water logged areas of Srinagar City.
