Saints always improve things, they do not damage or destroy them. The Sant Nirankari Mission is, therefore, committed to serve the community with the spirit of love and brotherhood, which has already become an example for the world to follow. This was observed by Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh JiMaharaj late last evening while addressing a huge congregation on the occasion of Guru Puja Diwas which also happened to be his 62nd Birthday. The Samagam was attended by thousands of devotees from Delhi and Greater Delhi and some other parts as well.Baba Ji complimented the devotees of the Mission who carried out a massive cleanliness drive in the morning. He said, while some people were damaging and destroying public property, the Mission’s volunteers cleaned more than 100 big hospitals across the country and removed the garbage that threatens to spread more diseases among patients. He said that the Mission does not remove pollution from the mind through spiritual awareness but from the surroundings also to purify the environment outside. Baba Ji said that even the Government of India has acknowledged and appreciated this positive contribution.

Referring to his Birthday, His Holiness said that he was 26 when he was given this responsibility to serve the Mission and he is 62 today i.e., the digits are reversed. During all these years he has endeavoured to take the message of Truth, love, unity, tolerance and humility forward. This is the same message as  Baba Buta Singh Ji, Baba Avtar Singh Ji and Baba Gurbachan Singh Jipreached in their own times despite numerous hurdles and opposition by the world. Baba Ji said that even though he could not do as much as he desired, but devotees have given the Mission its present vast expansion with their devotion, dedication and the spirit of service. He expressed the satisfaction that the Mission’s message to demolish the walls of hatred and build bridges of love through spiritual awakening is finding acceptance across the world.

Baba Ji recalled his mother, the late RajmataKulwantKaurJi and said she was and she will always remain a source of inspiration to strengthen the feelings of devotion, dedication, humility and mutual respect. She taught us how to be true to our devotion, love and respect each other and lead life based on Satsang, Sewa and Sumiran.Referring to the love expressed by devotees for him, His Holiness said it is not one sided, it is mutual. If devotees are keen to see me, I am also keen to see them. He quoted a poet and said it is very difficult to define whether one is the flame or the black bee who burns itself. It is simultaneous indeed, he said .Earlier, the well-known artists of the Mission – men, women and children presented a beautiful cultural programmer highlighting the importance of the True Master in a devotee’s life. He is more than God to them, they said.
