While strongly condemning the continuous detention of Shabir Ahmad Shah, Mohammad Yasin Malik, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Ayaz Akbar, Mohammad Ashraf Laya and dozens of other pro-freedom leaders and activists, Chairman Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani Wednesday said that the government is scared of the pro-freedom leadership and by placing restrictions over their movements, they are actually displaying their own weakness.He said that India is claiming to be the largest democratic country in the world but in Kashmir its democratic claims gets badly exposed.The state is practically ruled by military and the law and order has been deliberately suspended here.While demanding immediate release of all the political prisoners, Hurriyat (G) Chairman said that this government policy will have serious consequences and it will also increase the political uncertainty and instability in the state.
