In view of weather forecast issued by the Meteorological Department regarding snow and rain fall in some parts of the Valley, the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Friday convened a meeting of officers to review the arrangements put in place to meet any eventuality.Officers of Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Mechanical Engineering, Public Works and other departments were present in the meeting. The meeting was informed that all concerned departments have made elaborate arrangements to meet any exigency, besides they have kept standby adequate men and machinery for snow clearance in case of snow fall. Further all these departments have established Snow Control Rooms which will function round the clock for the convenience of general public. Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar directed all the Departments to ensure timely snow clearance from the main roads and also from the roads leading to important installations in the Srinagar City.
