A meeting to review the preparedness of arrangements for 67th Republic Day celebrations was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed Bhat today at Dak bungalow, Rajouri. It was informed in the meeting that the day would start with playing of shehnai Vadan by the district information centre, followed by hoisting of flag at District Police Line, Rajouri and March past by the contingents from Police, Army,NCC,Forest Protection Force and various educational institutes. Thereafter, Cultural programme based on patriotic theme will be presented and function will end with the prize distribution ceremony. Threadbare discussions were held on the arrangements for security, traffic, power and water supply, seating, cleanliness of the venue, erectìon of Mobile urinal, public address system besides illumination of important govt buildings.
The Executive Officer, Rajouri was asked for cleanliness of DPL ground and Rajouri town well in advance. Health department was also instructed for deployment of mobile van with staff and medicines at the venue of the function.The DC stressed upon the officers of various departments to maintain close rapport and coordination in order to make the function a great success besides all the officers were directed to put in best efforts to make all the arrangements for the celebrations in a smooth way. SSP, Rajouri Rajeshwar Singh, ADDC, Rajouri, Avtar Chib, ADC Rajouri, Mumtaz Choudhary, ACR, Paramjeet singh ,Executive Engineer of PHE, PDD, PWD, were among several others who attended the meeting.
