The Kashmir News Service (KNS) organised an impressive function at Sheerwani Hall, Baramulla to present Info-Tel 2013 awards and certificates.The Minister for Agriculture, Mr Ghulam Hassan Mir was the Chief Guest.The Director General Radio Kashmir, Bashir Arif was Guest of the Honour.The District Development Commissioner, Baramulla, Ghulam Ahmed Khwaja, SSP, Baramulla, Mr. Zubair Ahmed, officers of Radio Kashmir, Doordarshan Srinagar, artists, writers and senior citizens were also present on the occasion.It was informed that Info-Tel Award presenting ceremony will be organised every year on December, 22 to encourage all such personalities who have marked outstanding contribution in the field of public service and other sectors.
Speaking on the occasion, the Agriculture Minister said that Journalism is an important profession which helps in promotion of Art, Culture and Languages besides keeping general public abreast with day to day happenings. He lauded KNS for Instituting the Info Tel award for encouraging best performers for their outstanding contributions in different fields of life.The artists of the Jhankar Group, Sopore, Radio Kashmir and Doordarshan gave scintillating cultural presentations. Later, the Minster distributed Info Tel awards 2013 to District Development Commissioner, Baramulla and SDM, Sopore in the field of administration, Chief Medical Officers, Medical Superintendent in Health sector, Principals and artists of various schools, Radio and Doordarshan.
