2nd time National level Recognition for (KREDA) Kargil

Kargil Renewable Energy Development Agency (KREDA) was awarded for the second time as “Best State Nodel Agency” for implementation of Thermal Schemes in Kargil Ladakh by the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy Government of India in a mega function by the Hon’ble Minister MNRE GOI Dr Farooq Abdullah at Ashoka Hotel New-Delhi on 18th of December 2013.On behalf of KREDA the Award was received by Shri Kacho Ahmad Khan Project Coordinator KREDA.KREDA was chosen as best State Nodel Agency among 07 states of India for Implementation of Thermal Schemes for Solar Green houses, Solar water heating systems, solar cookers and other schemes of MNRE GOI in the region as State Nodel Agency of MNRE Govt of India.Talking to Media Kacho Ahmad Khan told that the award was given to KREDA for  installing 50,000 LPD of water heating systems, 600 Nos of Solar cookers, 3000 Nos of Domestic Green houses and 200 Nos of commercial Green houses in the region till date, besides 76 Nos of SPV power pants and work on 07 Nos of Micro Hydel projects with a total capacity of 11.5 MW already allotted to different companies and work on 04 sites has been started and expected to complete the scheme by 2015.He added that KREDA has also received the National Award for Recommendable Job in Renewable Energy by Reneutech India in May 2013.Kacho Ahmad Khan further added that KREDA has a future plan of generating 33,000 Megawatt of Electrcity from Solar SPV and has submitted the Project with the Government. The agency will utilize all the barren south faced lands to install solar panel and even the road sides will be utilized under this plan and will try to make Kargil as one of the main supplier of Electricity in J&K.
