Divisional commissioner, Kashmir, Asgar Samoon today convened a meeting of Revenue officers to review functioning of the Revenue Department in district Ganderbal.The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, Showkat Aijaz Bhat, ADC Ganderbal Shahnawaz Bukhari, ACR Ganderbal Parvaiz Ahmad Raina and all Tehsildars of the District.The Divisional Commissioner took a comprehensive meeting in which all revenue aspects were discussed. Dr. Samoon directed all Tehsildars to expedite settlement work, formulation of Jamabandies, eviction of Kahcharie and state land which has been illegally encroached by the people. The Divisional commissioner asked the concerned authorities to complete land acquisition cases, positively within a week. He also instructed revenue officials to work with zeal and dedication and to adopt a procedure to bring in transparency in working of the Revenue Department.Later, the Divisional Commissioner accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner visited the site for Central University where the work on pre-engineered buildings is in progress and interacted with representatives of the construction agency there.
