While terming the statement “the future of Kashmir lies with India” of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as a big lie and deception, Chairman Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Geelani said that this statement is totally contrary to the situations, events, ground realities and history of Kashmir and it is very far from the truth.He said that Jammu & Kashmir is the most militarized region of the world and these forces are occupying this land against the wishes and inner of its people and are unleashing brutal and inhuman atrocities upon the residents of this region.Syed Ali Geelani who is continuously under the house detention from last 5 months and who was once again today on 2nd October forcibly stopped from offering the Friday congregational prayers, in a statement issued to the KNS expressed his strong reaction over the statement of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and said that few pro-Indian politicians like Mufti can’t held hostage the entire Kashmiri nation for their chairs. The majority of Jammu & Kashmir have neither accepted the forced military occupation of India in the past and nor will they do this blunder in the future.
Kashmiris had resisted the forced occupation of India right from the day one and they are still opposing this illegal relationship.The pro-freedom leader said that the Mufti can gather benefits for his children in the Indian military occupation but the future of the Kashmiri nation is in no way secure in this occupation. Indian occupation has only given deaths, miseries and destruction to the Kashmiris which resulted in political uncertainty, instability and disorder in this entire region.Syed Ali Geelani said that the Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and other people of his tribe have got no mandate for issuing ‘Fatwas’ (Dictates) about the future of Kashmir. These kinds of pro-Indian people come to front because of the boycott of the resistance leadership to the election process otherwise they will hardly find their addresses. Mufti Sahab have to be very thankful to the presence of Indian army and police raj in Jammu & Kashmir for elevating him to the chair of power but his jurisdiction is limited to the construction of roads and bridges and as far as the future of Jammu & Kashmir is concerned, all its rights are reserved with the common people and resistance leadership of Kashmir who are struggling and offering sacrifices for that purpose.Syed Ali Geelani questioned Mufti Mohamad Sayeed that how can our future be secure with that country which had deployed its troops here without any moral and constitutional justification, which had not only brutally killed lakhs of Kashmiris innocent people but have subjected ten thousand people to the custodial disappearance and another ten thousand killed in the custody.
How can Kashmiris feel safe and secure with that nation which had raped their 7500 daughters. This is the country which instead of giving anything had looted and forcibly occupied the natural resources of the Kashmiri nation and which had forcibly took-over the lakhs of Knals of land of the common Kashmiris and constructed mega army camps over that.In a statement to KNS, Syed Ali Geelani said that how can we remain safe in that country which after the 68 years of independence are yet to accommodate and accept the existence of those minorities who preferred to remain with India at the time of partition in 1947. The minorities like Muslims, Sikhs and Christens are treated as second class citizens in India and there is no guarantee of their lives, property and their dignity in this country.
This news should have reached to the ears of Mufti that in India a person can be beaten to death just because he had stored or cooked beef (which is permissible for the Muslims) in his house and his son was also left in half-dead condition.Syed Ali Geelani said that the killing of Muslims is considered a qualification in this country which can qualify a person for even the prime minister-ship post. A Muslim can be hanged in this country just to satisfy the conscience of the people of this nation.Hurriyat (G) chairman said that Mufti has no interest with the Kashmiri nation and if it would had been so then he should have hundred times thought before talking like this and he would not had closed his eyes from the living and Himalayan realities but these people are only concerned with their chairs and they fully know this fact that these pro-Indian politicians are nothing without the support of Indian occupational forces.Syed Ali Geelani further said that we have no personal enmity with the Mufti Sahab but he is going against the wishes and aspirations of his nation by advocating the Indian forced occupation and people like him can’t be the friends of Kashmiris.
