A District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Bandipora, Sajad Hussain here today.The meeting was informed that an amount of Rs. 63.20 crore have been advanced under Credit Action Plan (CAP) during the Ist quarter of current fiscal in Bandipora district, covering 4204 beneficiaries under Priority and Non-Priority Sectors. Of this, Rs. 53.20 crore were provided alone by J&K Bank in the district.MLA Bandipora Usman Majeed, Lead District Manager Bandipora Imtiyaz Ahmad, District Coordinators of all Banks, and other development agencies were present on the occasion.
While reviewing the performance of Banks and Government departments under various schemes, the District Development Commissioner, who is also the Chairman of the Committee stressed for speedy disposal of Government sponsored cases. He advised the Banks and sponsoring agencies to work with cooperation and cohesion to achieve the goals and targets for development and eradication of unemployment. He also directed for conducting awareness camps so that the people are made aware of Government sponsored schemes and welfare plans.While reviewing the progress of Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Bandipora, Director RSETI said that 2436 candidates have so far been imparted training in various skills and trades through various training programmes since its inception. He said that 830 candidates were settled with Bank finance, 403 with self finance and others engaged through wage labour.
