On the instructions of the Chairman Darul Khair Trust, Mirwaiz Dr Moulvi Mohammad Umar Farooq, the prominent personalities represented the Trust viz. Mufti Ghulam Rasool Samoon, Imami Hai, Central Jamia Masjid, Srinagar and Prof. Habibullah Jeelani had a detailed visit to the flood affected areas confronted with September, 2014 deluge besides the Srinagar District, the districts of Anantnag like Dooru, Bejbehara and had a detailed survey of the catastrophe occurred.During the course of their visit to these places, they discussed the grim situation with the Managing Bodies of the local concerned Masjids of these areas keeping in view the set principles/procedures laid down for assisting them in the rehabilitation work. Besides, providing of the immediate relief for their rehabiltation in the shape of shelters, the concerned Managing Bodies of the local Masjids were taken into confidence for this purpose.
On this occasion, Representatives of Darul Khair Trust were informed that the vicitims were confronting with multiple and numerous difficulties and problems and informed in unequivocal terms that no assistance or help of any kind were provided by the Government or any other Agencies for their rehabilitlation so far.The Delegation assured them that the Darul Khair Trust will provide every kind of help to the affected prople from their available resources and procedures set forth for the purpose.The delegation apprised these people (Representatives of Local Masjids) during their visit to these areas that the Darul Khair Trust had always come to rescue for these victimes and are continuously helping them for their upliftment within their available resources without any discrimination and Insha Allah this support will continue.(KNS)
