Taj lays foundation of multipurpose sports hall at Polo Ground

Minister for Medical Education, Youth Services & Sports, Taj Mohi ud Din today laid the foundation stone of a multipurpose sports hall at Polo Ground today.To be built at a cost of Rs. 1.82 crore the sports hall would have facilities for playing games like basketball, judo, martial arts, table tennis etc. Being built by J&K Sports Council, the multipurpose hall would be completed within a period of six months.Secretary, J&K State Sports Council, Mr. Dileep Thusu, Joint Director, Youth Services & Sports, Mrs. Nilofer Amin besides officers of Sports Council and Youth Services & Sports were present on the occasion.Later, the Minister inaugurated a basketball tournament at indoor stadium.Earlier in the day, the Minister inaugurated a water sports meet at Nehru Park organised by J&K State Sports Complex.
