To take firsthand account of the functioning of various departments, District Development Commissioner Kathua Ramesh Kumar today chaired an introductory meeting of officers of line and works departments here today.At the maiden meeting with the officers after assuming the charge of DDC Kathua, he asked the heads of the departments to work in coordination and with missionary spirit for the welfare of the people. The people friendly approach, transparent and efficient working is required for good people–administration ties, the DDC asserted.
While directing departments to generate awareness about the welfare schemes, the DDC said focus should be to give maximum benefits of flagship programmes and schemes to the targeted beneficiaries. He asked the officers to make comprehensive plan of their activities to achieve desired targets in time bound manner. He further called for preparing a district profile of the schemes and programme of respective departments. He impressed upon the officers to strictly adhere to norms and be ADDC Kathua Manmohan Singh, ACR Kathua Atul Gupta, RTO, CPO Kathua and other district officers were present in the meeting.
