A case has been registered against a senior revenue officer and three other persons over thrashing a Sub-Inspector (SI) of police at Mendhar Tehsil in Poonch district.According to GNS, SI Baghdad Hussain lodged a complaint against Tarif Hussain Shah, who is Naib Tehsildar of Chandak area of the district, and three other people over thrashing him. The three who have been booked include Nazir Hussain Shah (father of Naib Tehsildar), Tabeer Hussain Shah and Tariq Hussain Shah. Tabeer and Tariq are the brothers of Naib Tehsildar.The two sides had a scuffle after some dispute over construction of a house by police officer at Golad in Mendhar came forth. The police officer in his complaint said that the Naib Tehsildar along with his brothers and father thrashed him. Following the complaint, a case was registered by police at Mendhar police station under FIR number 110/2015 under sections 452, 427, 336 and 323 RPC.The Naib Tehsildar on his part has also filed a complaint, saying the police officer thrashed him and his family members. The police have not registered any case against SI so far. (GNS)
