District Development Commissioner Kathua Ajay Singh Jamwal today paid surprise visit to various departments and took stock of the functioning and working besides punctuality of the government employees.The DDC paid visit to the office of BDO Keerian Gandyal, checked the attendance and found the BDO absent and called his explanation to clear his position. He also visited Primary Health Centre Lakhanpur and visited OPD and interacted with people and enquired about the facilities. He directed the medical officer to maintain cleanliness in the premises.
Thereafter, the DDC visited Government High School Lakhanpur and checked the attendance and enquired about the Mid–Day Meal scheme. He directed the school staff to maintain good hygiene in kitchen and ensure good quality food be served to the students.The DDC also visited Toll Plaza Lakahnpur and enquired about the checking mechanism. He impressed upon the DC Excise and DC Sales Tax to ensure no polythene bags shall be imported into the state and conduct intense frisking at Nakas.He also visited Lakahnpur Sarthal Development Authority office at Lakhanpur and checked the functioning of the authority and took review of its ongoing projects.Later, the DDC also visited office of the Lakhanpur Municipality and directed them to maintain proper cleanliness in the Lakhanpur town.
