Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura today directed the district administration Budgam and Pulwama to ensure all necessary arrangements for smooth conduct of Urs of Hazrat Syed Ali Aali Bulkhi (RA) at Pakherpora.The Minister was speaking at a meeting to review the arrangements made by the district administration for the smooth conduct of the annual Urs.Vice Chairman, J&K Wakaf Board, Peer Mohammad Hussain, Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Altaf Ahmad Mir, SSP Budgam, Fayaz Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer, Yousmarg Development Authority, Javed Bakshi, SDM Chadoora and district officers of Budgam and Pulwama besides prominent citizens of Chrar-e-Sharief constituency were present in the meeting.The Urs days will begin from August 27 and will conclude on September 4, 2015.
Deputy Commissioner, Budgam briefed the Minister and Vice-Chairman about the arrangements made by the Administration for smooth conduct of the Urs.The meeting was informed that during the Urs days the Sub-District hospital, Pakherpora will function round the clock besides the department of Health Services will establish medical camps en-route at different places including Zanipachal, Charipora and Kanidajan to provide medicare facilities to the visiting devotees.It was further informed that the department of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CA&PD) will provide additional quota of ration of 5 kgs rice and 1 kg Sugar to the consumers of Pakherpora area per family, besides the department will distribute the ration for the month of September 2015 in advance to the consumers of the area.Taking review of the arrangements made by the Power development Department, the Minister directed the concerned to ensure uninterrupted power supply round the clock during the Urs days. He directed the officers of Tourism department to install 15 street lights around the Shrine immediately, so that the devotees don’t face any inconvenience.Hanjura directed the PHE authorities to ensure adequate drinking water facilities in the area. He further directed them to provide tanker services besides keeping five water tanks available round-the-clock.To ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of the area, the services of Yousmarg Development Authority, J&K Wakaf Board and Municipal Committee Chrar-e-Sharief should be also taken, the Minister said.
Regarding transport facilities, it was informed that during Urs days additional fleet of SRTC buses would be deployed on the routes leading to the shrine which would operate from dawn to dusk. Addressing the meeting, the Minister said that work on several developmental projects is apace to develop Pakherpora.Hanjura sought cooperation from local people in ensuring sanitation and cleanliness in the area. He directed the R & B department to speed up the pace of renovation work of 800 meters Kanidajan road length and complete it before the Urs.Mr. Hanjura also directed the concerned to identify the land for construction of Community Hall at Pakherpora, so that the construction work on the project is started soon.Vice Chairman, J&K Wakaf Board in his address said that Pakherpora shrine will be developed on modern lines. He said Rs 2.5 lakh is being spent on the construction of Guardroom block for Shrine. He said construction of Ladies Sabat is taken up at Rs 49 lakh and work in progress.Later, the Minister and Vice Chairman, Wakaf Board paid obeisance at the Shrine and prayed for the progress and development of the State.
