Minister for Transport, Mr Abdul Ghani Kohli today said that various measures are being taken to streamline the functioning of the Transport Department to facilitate hassle-free issuance of driving licenses, route permits and other documents.The Minister said adequate transport facilities would be provided to all the areas of the state, especially the remote and hilly areas.The Minister was interacting with various deputations from Rajouri, Poonch and a deputation of Gujjars and Bakerwals at his office here today.The deputations raised the issues of availability of transport in their respective areas.The Minister gave a patient hearing to the deputations and assured them to solve their genuine problems at the earliest.
