Governor N.N. Vohra, who visited Hqrs. XIV Corps, Leh, received an extensive briefing from Lt. Genl. S.K. Patiyal, Corps Commander, regarding the situation along the entire LoC and LaC which fall within the Area of Responsibility of XIV Corps in the Northern Army Command.The Governor also held a detailed discussion with Lt. Genl. Patiyal regarding issues relating to the speedy growth and development of the hinterland areas, particularly problems of connectivity and the growing difficulties faced by the graziers due to the shrinking of pasture lands.The Governor and GOC also discussed the road network which is required to connect various parts of Ladakh internally and with the plains.
