Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday said that National Conference leaders have become “monarchs” and they still believe that they are Lord Curzons of Jammu and Kashmir.In a statement to KNS BJP spokesman Khalid Jehangir said: “The NC leaders are finding it hard to believe that people have rejected the Family Raaj and have overthrown the people who till the recent past used to believe that they are born to rule.”“A few politicians think that by speaking fluent English and behaving like British they can hoodwink the people. However, times have changed and people have realized that they are no kings and they are one among them. People getting aware about their rights and power have frustrated the National Conference and Congress who during the past six decades ensured that all their family members get settled and earn as much as they can. They (NC and Congress) leaders never allowed common man to come out of his shell neither did they allow him to live a prosperous life,”Jehangir said.“The BJP is committed to uplift the stature of a common man and give him all the privileges he deserves.” He claimed NC and Congress leaders are issuing statements out of frustration as they know it very well that their parties have become a history and people would never vote back to power.
