Congress leader Captain Amarinder Singh’s Mission 2017 will be the same debacle as his Mission 2007 and 2012 was as the people of Punjab have grown immune to the antics of Congress. Its SAD-BJP alliance that will serve the state for the third consecutive time, said the Deputy Chief Minister Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal while talking to media persons after addressing a public rally at village Prabhat Singh Wala Hithar, located on the international broder.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that Congress was victim of its own feud and differences. Instead of worrying about people’s issues, Captain Amarinder Singh and Pratap Singh Bajwa have locked horns over the state presidentship issue. Taking a dig at Amarinder-Bajwa,the Deputy CM said that those leaders, for whom only personal interests are priorities, were not capable of serving masses and running the state machinery. 

He added that the SAD-BJP government in state has heralded in overall development and the people of Punjab stood rock strong with the SAD-BJP government. He added that the alliance will mark its third victory in vidhan sabha in 2017 and will be brought into power by the intelligent voters of Punjab and will serve the people. He added that Congress’ Mission 2017, 2022 and 2027 will merely remain missions as the people of Punjab are today well aware of the wrong doings of Congress.Talking about the unprecedented growth in Punjab he said that the Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal was soon going to announce schemes for the poor, downtrodden, farmers, laborers and all other sections of society. He announced that the World Kabaddi Cup’s final match and closing ceremony will be held at the multi purpose stadium in Jalalabad. He added that very soon Jalalabad will also play host to a spectacular evening of singers and the area residents will be painted in hues of Punjab’s heritage.

Addressing the gathering of people living in border areas he announced that the areas of Jalalabad constituency, where CC flooring works are pending, will be completed soon. He added that the villagers will be provided all kinds of facilities.Mr Badal said that in next two to three months the Punjab government will issue pending tubewell connections. Instructions have been issued to the Powercom to draft requisite policy and framework.Appreciating the efforts of Punjab police in maintaining law and order in the state he said that the police was keeping a strict vigil in the border areas. He asserted the people of Punjab that state’s security and harmony was the biggest priority of government.Earlier DGP Mr Sumedh Saini said that Punjab police has spruced  up its vigil in border areas and was ready to deal with any kind of situation.Earlier the areas MLA Satinderjit Singh welcomed the Deputy CM. prominent among other present included MLA Gurtej Singh Ghuriana, Commissioner Mr VK Meena, DC Mr Ravinder Singh, IG PS Umranagal, DIG Amar Singh Chahal, SSP Mr. Sawapan Sharma.
