A deputation of stamp vendors from district Mohali led by Jagmohan Singh Kang, MLA & former minister today called on Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia regarding their demand to enhance their stamp paper sale limit here today.The Minister after giving them a patient hearing explained the growing need for e-stamping to facilitate people. He said that throughout the country, most of the states had already implemented e-stamping. He said that this system has brought in efficiency in the working of the Revenue department and proven a great help in online reconciliation of its transactions on a daily basis. He assured the members of deputation to consider their demand sympathetically. Mr. Karan A. Singh, Financial Commissioner Revenue was also present on the occasion.
