Minister for Tourism, Ghulam Ahmad Mir on Tuesday launched the National Population Register Phase II-Aadhar in South Kashmir’s Dooru tehsil.The Minister launched Aadhar by conducting his biometrics on the occasion.Addressing on the occasion, the Minister highlighted significance of Aadhar Card and said that it will be a lifelong credible document for every citizen above the age group of five. He hoped that Dooru Constituency will emerge as front runner in the completion of the project by achieving cent per cent target within the prescribed time limit of 120 days. He said that 1.25 lakh Aadhar cards would be prepared and issued to the people of Dooru within next 4 months.

Earlier, the concerned authorities gave a resume of the project highlighting its aims and objectives and methodology.To collect biometric information for issuance of Aadhar card, camps will be organized in all villages and towns of the area. Each camp will be supervised by ECIL Hyderabad, Karvy and enumerators appointed by District Administration.
