DDC Baramulla reviews performance of educational institutions

To enhance the performance of Government educational institutions in the district, District Development Commissioner, Peerzada Mushtaq Ahmad Shah today chaired a meeting of Officers of education department at Baramulla.As many as 44 Principals of different Higher Secondary Schools, 18 Zonal Educational Officers alongwith Principal DIET, Chief Education Officer and Deputy Chief Education Officer were present during the meeting.The meeting discussed various issues related to the education system in Baramulla. It was decided that Academic Core groups will be constituted to prepare a module to address academic needs.

It was given out that Learning enhancement through Active Participation (EAP) initiatives will be taken in the schools by short exposure visits outside the schools and development of schools as learning centres. Special rooms will be developed with TLM in them. As regards the on-spot learning, need for conducting visits to historical places, courts, railway stations, agriculture fields etc was also given due consideration.The District Development Commissioner impressed upon the Officers to put special focus on the preparation of lesson plans and it should be made mandatory for every teacher to prepare day-to-day lesson plans and the remarks should be accordingly given by the Head of the Schools while checking them in the morning.The meeting was also informed that preparing modules for pre-primary schools will be ensured.
