As a part of drive against menace of Bovine smuggling Nowshera Police led by SHO police station Nowshera Inspector Chaman Gorkha under the supervision of SDPO Nowshera Ms Sargun Sukhla (IPS) intervening night of 30/31 laid a naka checking at Thalaka.During naka checking at Thalaka Police seized one Mobile load carrier bearing registration no.JK04A - 9357 and rescued 04 bovine animal which were on its way from Nowshera-Rajouri to Srinagar via Mughal road were being illegaly smuggled toward Srinagar without any permission.In this connection, police registered a case under FIR No. 139/2015 U/S 188 RPC, 3 PCA in police station Nowshera and investigation is going on.Rajouri Police intensified drive against bovine smugglers. During the year 2015, 73 cases of bovine smuggling have been registered against 151 persons 440 bovine animals rescued and 42 vehicles has been seized so far. The drive is being carried out on war footing basis with the aim to curb the menace of Bovine Smuggling
