Dhillon Kool Drinks, Jalandhar Declared Highest Tax Payer

Phillaur based Pepsi Cola Bottler Dhillon Kool Drinks & Beverages Private Ltd. has been awarded the highest tax payer among the Large Scale Manufacturers for the year 2012-2013 with an amount of Rs. 15.96 crores paid by it to the Excise & Taxation Department, Punjab. This was a new initiative undertaken by the department to felicitate and honour its top tax payers from all districts in the State.Kanwar Dhillon, CEO and Mr. Karan Dhillon, Principal of the Group were honoured at a State Level Function at Hotel Taj Chandigarh today by the Punjab Government and the Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal.The Group is one of the oldest and largest PepsiCo. bottlers in India and has setup its state of the art Manufacturing Facility based in Phillaur, Jalandhar.Mr. Kanwar Dhillon said it is a matter of great pride for the group to be bestowed with this prestigious award and it adds to the groups’ existing recognitions such as being awarded ‘THE PEPSICO WORLDWIDE BOTTLER OF THE YEAR AWARD’ by President George Bush at the PepsiCo. Centenary celebrations in Hawaii, USA. Mr. Karan Dhillon further added that the group will continue to contribute to Punjab’s Economy by implementing major expansions in the future to its existing operations in the state.
