DLRC meeting held at Shopian

The District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting of district was held here the other day in District Administrative Complex Shopian with Deputy Commissioner Shopian in chair. The meeting was attended by the officials from all line departments operating in the district, representatives of Bank, NABARD and AGM RBI.The meeting was informed that against a target of Rs. 325.38 crores in priority sector, the banks have sanctioned Rs. 161.71 crores during the first two quarters of financial year 2013-14, which include Rs. 149.02 crores under Agri sector covering 6143 beneficiaries, while under Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises sector banks have disbursed an amount of Rs. 8.84 crores to 662 beneficiaries. Similarly, under Education sector banks have disbursed Rs. 0.75 crores to 93 students and in Housing sector banks have disbursed Rs. 2.15 crores to 114 beneficiaries and in other priority sector the total disbursement was Rs. 0.94 crores for setting up 252 units.It was observed that the sponsorship of cases by various line departments was almost 50 percent of the target allocated to them. All the line departments were asked to complete the sponsorship cases as per the target allocated by the end of December 2013.The Lead District Manager, Mr. Ghulam Jeelani Shah was advised to make available all facilities to beneficiaries so that they can avail KCC facility hassle free. Lead District Manager Shopian said that the banks have already covered 19759 farmers under KCC Scheme out of total eligible 26432 farmers and thus recording an achievement of 74.75 percent.Director RSETI (JK Bank) Shopian was advised to impart skill trainings to as many as possible aspirants by making necessary tie ups with the line departments.
