Rejecting Jamaate-e-Islami Hind Raja Aijaz Aslam’s remarks on Kashmir MLA Langate has accused many Indian based religious organisation and clerics that they often try to prove themselves more loyal than the king but need to understand that rights and aspirations of Kashmiri Muslims cannot be kept hostage to the compulsions of Indian Muslims. Er Rashid said, “ we don’t seek a resolution to the Kashmir dispute on religious basis but the fact of the matter is that it is Kashmiri Muslims who are suffering and have lost everything because of the 70 year long political dispute. Kashmiris have always raised their voice against the atrocities and discrimination faced by Indian Muslims despite themselves being victim of the state. Undoubtedly Kashmiri’s understand the worse treatment radical, and fascist elements in and outside administration throughout the country, have been giving to Muslims throughout India and the atrocities being commitment on minorities in India go often un heard, but it doesn’t mean that to keep themselves in good books of Indian agencies and ruling class people like Raja Aijaz Aslam will add salt to the injuries of Kashmiris.
Raja Aijaz Aslam and other Muslim clerics have every right to be good patriotic Indians but need not to hurt Kashmiris. It would have been appreciable if as true Indians they would have asked successive regimes in Delhi to stop lying to everybody including their own Indians over Kashmir and asked them to accept historic realities regarding Kashmir. All those Indian Muslim leaders need to understand that setup in New Delhi will never own them, even if they abuse Kashmiris ten times a day as India is moving fast to become a Hindu State. May one ask these so called warriors of Kashmiris that why did they kept mum on every occasions when Kashmiris were facing worst kind of state terrorism. Kashmiris cannot be denied their rights only as someone may claim it will hit interests of Indian Muslims. Besides it needs to be understood that parameters of justice are to be followed without caring who gets hit by the outcome”. (CNS)
