Minister for Technical Education, Information Technology and Youth Services & Sports Molvi Imran Raza Ansari today visited various areas of Pulwama distinct including Gangoo and took stock of developmental scenario in the district. He interacted with the people and received first hand appraisal of their problems.Ansari conducted a public darbar at Gangoo where people presented their demands before the Minister. The Minister assured them that the Government is committed to redress all public issues and ensure developmental activities in a phased manner. He said the Government has made a well planned strategy to ensure speedy development of the State on all fronts, the benefits of which shall percolate to grass-root level.He said that revival of sports and athletic activities in the State is the top most priority of the present Government led by Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
He further said various new and innovative measures have been initiated in the state to achieve the said goal. He opined that the new generation could achieve laurels for themselves and the state in the sports field as Kashmir has a history of producing renowned persons in every sphere of life. He said there is no dearth of talent among youth of the state, adding that the need of the hour is to harness the talent. The Minister also asked the concerned to take steps to upgrade sports facilities being provided at Sports Stadium, Pampore.Earlier, Sports Officer Pulwama, briefed the Minister on various activities being conducted by the department to promote Sports in the District.Later, Molvi Imran Raza Ansari attended a Hussaini Majlis at Gangoo and threw light on the life of Prophet Muhammad (Sallalo Alihe Wasalam) and the incident of Karbla.
