Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura today visited various areas in Chrar-i-sharief Constituency of District Budgam and took stock of pace of work on different developmental works under execution in these areas. He inspected ongoing construction works of hospital buildings including Government Sub-District Hospital Nagam and Primary Health Centre (PHC) Nilnag casting to Rs 12.72 crore. He was informed that an amount of Rs 5.5 crore have been incurred on these buildings so far.The Minister directed the executing agency Jammu and Kashmir Project Construction Corporation (JKPCC) to redouble their efforts and speed up the pace of work on these projects and ensure their completion by the end of December this year.The Minister also inspected under execution construction works of PHC Nowpura and PHC Hanjura costing to Rs.3.66 crore. He was informed that these hospital buildings are nearing completion. The Minister directed the concerned to ensure that these hospitals will function within two months. He also asked the concerned to prepare a comprehensive plan for development of the PHC Nowpora premises and submit the same to the concerned quarter so that the funds could be arranged for the purpose.

Hanjura also inspected construction works of various ongoing Water Supply Schemes (WSSs) included Tikaya Nagam, Showpura  and Choudhrygund.He was informed that Rs.3.87 crore would be spent on these projects. The Minister directed the executing agencies to utilize the funds in full and judiciously. He also asked them to speed up the pace of work on these projects and complete them in a stipulated time frame.Later, the Minister visited Government High School, Nilnag. He also inspected ongoing construction work of school building which was stopped earlier. Mr. Hanjura directed the concerned to start construction work on the building immediately and compete it within two months.

The Management and students of the Institution put forth some demands including construction of playground. The Minister gave them patient hearing and assured them that their genuine demands will be looked into. He directed on the spot directed to PHE and PDD authorities to ensure adequate drinking water facility and power supply to the school immediately.Interacting with the people at different places included Loolipura, Showpura and Choudhrygund villages, the Minister said that the Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is committed to provide better basic amenities to the people of the State. He said special focus is being laid on improvement and strengthening of infrastructure in health, education, power, PHE and R & B sectors.Deputy Commissioner, Budgam Mr. Altaf Ahmad Mir and other senior officers of PHE, Health, Education, Revenue, JKPCC, R &B and Power department accompanied the Minister during his tour.
