DC Baramulla inaugurates awareness cum exhibition camp at Bla

An awareness cum Exhibition Camp was held under centrally sponsored scheme ATMA at Baramulla today. The camp organized by Sheep Husbandry department educated the sheep rearers about the latest trends besides various schemes launched by Government for the upliftment of the community. District Development Commissioner, Baramulla, Ghulam Ahmad Khawaja was the chief guest on the occasion. Addressing the function, Mr. Khawaja appealed unemployed youth to take full benefit of schemes aimed at their upliftment and also earn their livelihood with honour and dignity. On this occasion, the camp was informed that the sheep and goat population has reached to 3.47 lakh whileas 4.72 lakh Kgs mutton production has been recorded in the district.
