Expressing its deep concern and anguish over the situation in Rajouri district after the burning of a flag bearing ‘Kalima Tayyiba’, the Hurriyat Conference (G) has demanded the arrest of people involved in the filthy and shameful act.According to a statement issued to GNS, the Hurriyat spokesman said no one has been arrested or booked so far. “Contrary to that, dozens of Muslim youths have been detained and dozens of more are wanted whose residences are being continuously raided. The one-sided approach of the administration and police is further worsening the situations in the Rajouri and instead of doing justice with regarding to the said incident, they are directly taking the directions from the Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh and are following his dictates,” the spokesman alleged.

Terming the statement of Nirmal Singh as “extremely shameful and mischievous” in which he had defended the burning of the flag with ‘Kalima Tayyaba’ written on that and had thumped the backs of those miscreants who had performed that shameful act, Hurriyat spokesman said that when such a person can issue these type of statements then it is not hard to imagine the level of sick-mentality of the present government. He further said that if this kind of communal mindset of the government doesn’t change, then it will have very serious consequences and due to which the law and order situation of the entire state will get disturbed.“Hurriyat conference demanded the registration of FIR and arrest of all the involved persons in the Rajouri incident,” the spokesman said, adding that the Hurriyat conference is closely monitoring the situation in the district and is in touch with the Muslim leaders of the Rajouri.
