To assess the damages caused due to recent incessant rains, Minister of State for Education, Information, and Culture Priya Sethi today toured different areas of Jammu city.At Mohalla Prem Nagar Ward No. 7, the Minister issued on-the-spot instructions to the officers of JMC for immediate restoration of the damaged infrastructure. She directed for devising a strategy by different departments to jointly work for undertaking the repairs of essential infrastructure damaged due to rains.“All concerned authorities should devise a joint mechanism so that city residents are saved from the unnecessary damages every time rain hits,” she directed.

She called upon the JMC authorities to press its men and machinery in the area for restoring damaged lanes and drains. Directions were also issued to health officer to take steps to avoid health related issues during the monsoon season. Executive Engineer, JMC, Health Officer and officers from other concerned departments, besides prominent citizens also accompanied the Minister during the tour.
