Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister Punjab today demanded immediate resignation of Partap Singh Bajwa President Punjab Pardesh Congress Committee (PPCC) for fraudulently grabbing Shamlat land. He clarified that the Revenue department Punjab would look into the matter and that a detailed enquiry would be conducted before taking any action against the congress leader. Addressing a rally after laying the foundation stone of 5.29 km long Bhaironpur by-pass at a cost of Rs. 22.84 crore at Fatehgarh sahib, Mr. Badal expressed surprise at the statement of Bajwa pretending that the Shamlat deh land of village Bharonjian (Mohali), in question was purchased by him from his brother and sister-in-law inadvertently. He said this was furthest from the truth and that the entire facts of the case would be put before the people at the earliest.

Coming down heavily on Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi he said they were harming the interests of the nation by their wrongly conceived policies. Mr. Badal said the mother-son duo were on the verge of being thrown out of power and would face a “political” seclusion”.The Deputy Chief Minister called upon the people to oust the most corrupt congress led UPA government in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections. He said this was needed in the interest of the country. Replying to a query on the threat to Narender Modi, the Prime Ministerial candidate, in Punjab, Mr. Badal rubbished the claims, saying Punjab was the most peaceful state in the country and there was absolutely no threat to Mr. Modi. He clarified that whenever there was a VVIP visiting the state, the intelligence agencies tend to be more vigilant while taking security measures. He also said that NDA under the dynamic leadership of Mr. Modi could take the country out of the crutches of poverty, inflation, corruption and many other socio-political disasters which were caused by the UPA.

He said that NDA would give a big push to industry in Punjab after forming the next government at center. He said that the charisma of BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Mr. Narendra Modi would wipe out this government of flawed programs and policies.Referring to the overall development in the state, MR. Badal said that Punjab government was already in touch with IT majors like TCS, Wipro and Infosys who have evinced keen interest to join hands with Punjab for this. Mr. Badal also announced that Deputy Commissioners of all districts have been directed to complete the survey for inclusion of fresh beneficiaries of blue card holders to Atta-Daal Scheme. He said that within next more than 30 lakh families would be able to get the benefit of this ambitious welfare program of Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal.Prominent amongst others who were spoke on the occasion included Charnjit Singh Atwal Speaker Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Sharnjit Singh Dhillon PWD minister, Prem Singh Chandumajra ex MP, Dr Harbans Lal former Minister, Mr Didar Singh Bhatti former MLA and Jagdeep Singh Cheema district president.
