In connection with celebration of Digital India Week, various functions were organized by the District Administration today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla Peerzada Mushtaq Ahmad Shah at Dak Bungalow and Sheerwani Hall here .At Dak Bungalow Baramulla, PDD and R&B departments participated and generated awareness about the Digital India services through PowerPoint presentation. At Sheerwani Hall Baramulla, Education and Health departments imparted the awareness about the same.On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the importance of e-governance saying the initiative will bring transparency and accountability in the system. He urged the participants to encourage disposal of public services through e-governance service. Later, the District Informatics Officer Baramulla also highlights and briefed about the importance of Digital India Service.The function was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Superintending Engineer PDD, Chief Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer, officers from Medical and Education departments.
