District Development Commissioner Kathua Ajay Singh Jamwal today organized public grievance redressal camp at Sananghat in Tehsil Basohli.Various demands were highlighted by the People on the occasion including repair of Sananghat to Basohli road, construction of Sananghat to Banji Palara road and Kholi Talai to Jagna road, repair of Patwarkhana Sananghat, additional accommodation for Panchayat Ghar Sananghat. The people also demanded steps by the wildlife department to deal with the increasing monkey menace in the area The people also demanded attachment of Sananghat Block with Basohli Tehsil instead of Dhar Mahanpur. The representatives of Dhar Mahanpur demanded repair of local road, and renovation of rest house. They also demanded electrification of the Nand village.The DC assured the people that problem of low voltage will be solved very soon. Regarding the demands of road connectively, he said that roads will be constructed and repaired under PMGSY. He sanctioned three rooms and two toilets for Government High School Sananghat on the demand of the local people.
He appealed people to preserve and protect traditional and natural water resources like ponds, streams, wells etc in their villages.He warned against encroachment of the state land and said strict action will be taken against those found doing so. He appealed people to support Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and keep their villages neat and clean to live a healthy life.
He said that there is immense scope of horticulture in the area and urged people to take the benefit of various horticulture schemes.Earlier, he visited Model Hr. Sec. School Basohli and inspected the school building. He said that additional class rooms, smart class rooms, playground, toilets and principal office would be constructed very shortly in the school. The DDC directed the officers to work with coordination and solve the problems of people on priority. Later, DDC inspected PHC office, Panchayat Ghar, Anganwari centres and Patwarkhanna at Sananghat.Among others CEO Kathua, CHO Kathua, DFO wild life, PO watershed, Tehsildar Basohli, BDO Dhar Mahanpur, AEE’s of PHE & PDD, collector Ranjit Sagar Dam.
