Jammu , 25 Oct 2013

On the second day,  BJP’s “Refugee Adhikaar Yatra” today re-commenced from Thandi Kassi of Rajouri, led by  BJP State President Jugal Kishore Sharma alongwith State Vice-President Chander Prakash Ganga, State General Secretary & Yatra Incharge Rajiv Jasrotia, BJP State Cells Incharge Sat Sharma (C.A), Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency Incharge Yudhvir Sethi, State Publicity Secretary Aseem Gupta, BJYM State  President Ravinder Raina and State Working Committee Member S. Charanjit Singh Khalsa. The Adhikaar Yatra was joined by State Vice-President Vibodh Gupta, Senior leader Kuldeep Raj Gupta, District President Bharat Bhushan Vaid and Sarpanchs- Yogesh Sharma, Davinder Sharma, Kewal Krishan, Balbir Kumar and Babu Ram.

The Yatra, after passing through Dangri, Jawahar Nagar, Muradpur, Dalogra, Batuni, Dongi, Chingus, Naryana and stopped at Nowshera for night-halt where it was received by local party leaders and large number of workers and public.

Jugal Kishore Sharma, appealed the public to propagate the message of this yatra, which is to highlight the plight of the refugees due to the biased and lop-sided policies of the state government, to all the sections of the society so that a strong public opinion is aroused on the issue. He said that the response of the people to the yatra has been very positive and spontaneous. The border people are fed-up because of the weak kneed policies and response of the central government to Pak firing and are feeling insecure.  Most of the border residents are refugees whose cause is being espoused by BJP.

Chander Prakash Ganga said that had the BJP led NDA been given another term, the decades old demands of all the refuges  would have been permanently settled and they too would have been enjoying the fruits of democracy as equal citizens of the country.

Vibodh Gupta said that the brave people of Rajouri living on borders, including the refugees, have always displayed valour and courage in the face of the continuous mischief by Pakistan. They have always extended full cooperation to the security forces to negate the nefarious designs of Pakistan.Rajiv Jasrotia said that the refugee have lost faith  in the ruling parties as they realize that their interests are not on radar of the parties and being appreciative of BJP and are enthusiastically welcoming and identifying with the spirit of the yatra.Kuldeep Raj Gupta said that the Rajouri represents the true secularism in the state where people of all faiths are living like brothers and are putting up a common front against Pak trained mischief mongers.

Sat Sharma (C.A) said that be it problems of the refugees, farmers, youths, senior citizens or security of the country, it is the BJP only which has been seen on the forefront to highlight them and agitate for their dignify solution.Yudhvir Sethi said that the Jammu province has become the land of refugees as these helpless people have been denied the basic elementary citizenship rights and have now come to be called as refugees.  He expressed hope that good sense will prevail and the state government become sensitive to plight of the refugees.Ravinder Raina highlighted the extra hardship being suffered by the youth of the refugee families as they are not allowed to compete with the rest of the youth of the state on equal footing. They are denied the benefits which otherwise border people are entitled too.
